About

My life has been devoted to the analysis and development of systems.  It gives me a great deal of joy to use these systems to help people with various health, social, and financial problems.  “Basic causes” blog is concerned with the identification of basic principles that explain political, economic, and medical dilemmas of our civilization.

My highest formal education is Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology. I have a BS degree in physics.  Later in life I furthered my education in Clinical Psychology and worked in that area.  I have also worked as a scientist, clinical psychologist, investor, and computer software developer. I have a long standing interest in most areas of science, but especially evolution, neurophysiology, astronomy, and microbiology.  I am also intrigued by politics and economics. I was head of a research department at a major hospital and was principle investigator on scientific research grants.

My goal for this blog is to make contributions to an understanding of the world around us, so that all people can live harmoniously and with prosperity.
